San Miguel de Allende fue reconocida como la Mejor Ciudad del Mundo y la Mejor Ciudad de México en los World's Best Awards 2026 de Travel + Leisure, convirtiéndose en la primera ciudad en obtener este reconocimiento durante tres años consecutivos. Con una calificación de 93.07, el destino fue distinguido por su patrimonio arquitectónico, su oferta gastronómica y su hospitalidad. El reconocimiento coincide con una fecha significativa para la ciudad, que en 2026 conmemora el bicentenario de haber adoptado el nombre de San Miguel de Allende en honor a Ignacio Allende.

The destination earned the top spot in Travel + Leisure’s 2026 World’s Best Awards for the third consecutive year, coinciding with the city’s bicentennial celebration.
San Miguel de Allende has been recognized as the World’s Best City and the Best City in Mexico in Travel + Leisure’s 2026 World’s Best Awards, becoming the first destination to receive the distinction for three consecutive years. With a score of 93.07, the city was celebrated for its colonial architecture, rich cultural heritage, outstanding culinary scene, and renowned hospitality. The recognition comes during a milestone year, as 2026 marks the bicentennial of San Miguel de Allende’s elevation from town to city and its adoption of the name honoring Ignacio Allende.
